Pastoral scenes. Sarcophagus of Iulius Achilleus, a Roman official with the title of Vis Perfectissimus. He was first in charge of an office of the imperial chancellery (proximus a memoriae) then the procurator (superintendant) of the Ludus Magnus, the barrack of the gladiators in Rome. Marble bas-relief, Imperial Roman, ca. 270 CE. Found near the Baths of Caracalla in Rome.
