This model is based on bas-reliefs in the temple at Deir-el-Bahari, situated below the Peak of the Thebes, showing ships of Queen Hatshepsut's (c 1540-1481 BC) expedition to the Land of Punt, also referred to as 'God's Land', which was probably in modern day Somalia.
