Shield in the shape of an eight with suspension strap in the middle. The motif on it shows that it represent an original made of cow's hide. In here the shield becomes the symbol of a war goddess. The use of a shield as a decoratif motif is a rare representation in monumental Mycenaean painting . Fragment. Fresco. Mycenaean, 13th century BCE.
