Fontana dell'Ovato, Villa d'Este. The palace and garden were built by Pirro Ligorio in 1550-72. The Fontana dell'Ovato (Oval Fountain) represents the waterfalls of Tivoli with the personifications of three rivers: the Aniene, Erculaneo and Albuneo. The latter is represented in the central figure, the Sibilla Albunea. Curzio Maccarone, Giovanni Malanca, Giovanni Battista della Porta and Della Vellita worked on the designs of Ligorio.
