North side of the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi in Piazza Navona. The Fountain of the Four Rivers was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1648-52. The four rivers symbolize the continents known at that time. The statue on the left, representing the Nile River, was sculpted by Giacomo Antonio Fancelli. The one on the right, the Rio de la Plata, is the work of Francesco Baratta.
