Star tile with a poetic inscription. This tile is shaped like a star and decorated with cobalt and lustre on a white background. A pair of seated figures ahve features and tresses of hair typical of the Seljuq Turks, who invaded the central Islamic heartlands in the 11th CE. Around the edge of the tile is a verse of Persian poetry by an unidentified poet, written in the naskh script: 'Last night the moon came to your house, filled with envy I thought of chasing him away. Who is the moon to sit in the same place as you?'.  Inv. AC 1878,1230.561.
