Burial Chamber of Pharaoh Tutankhamun (c.1332-1323 BCE) inside his tomb in the Valley of the Kings, Thebes. Egypt, 18th dynasty. The tomb was discovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922. On the walls scenes from the "Book of Amdouat." Inside the quartzite sarcophagus are to this day the remains of the king's body.
