The son of Petrus Gonsalvus, the "Hairy Man", 1596. He was examined in 1596 by the same physician who had made a detailed study of his father's glandular disturbance. The three paintings of the Gonzalvus family are typical of the mixture of art and curiosities in 16th century princely collections.
