Buontalenti, Bernardo (1536-1608)
Jacopo Peri as the legendary singer Arion in the fifth intermedio of "Pellegrina" written by the Sienese humanist Girolamo Bargagli, performed at the Teatro Mediceo in Florence for the wedding celebrations of Ferdinand de' Medici and Christine de Lorraine in 1589. The music was by Peri and Cristofano Malvezzi, the costumes by Bernardo Buontalenti. Ms. Palat. C.B.III 53, vol. II.
