MEXICO, the Tro-Cortesianus or Madrid codex combines the codex Troano and Cortesiano: it is only one codex; Brasseur de Bourbourg facsimile (1869); Maya culture. Hunting deer scene. On the upper part, it is not an animal but a skin used by the hunter to hide. On the lower part, it is a trap to easily kill the deer with a knife or a spear. Lines and dots are numbers, often elements of the calendar. On the left, glyphs are a writing system where certain glyphs express concepts, others syllables.
