Artist Unknown. Krasnaya Niva (Red Field) magazine announced on October 31, 1926, that a massive bronze sculpture of Lenin weighing 4,000 kilos was to be unveiled in Finland Station Square. The statue was 'the fruit of a collective artistic endeavour' between Vladimir Shchuko, G.Gelfreykh and the sculptor Sergei Evseyev, who can all be seen here in the artists studio. October 31 1926. Part of the David King Collection. Presented to Tate Archive by David King 2016.
