Costume of Spotted Weasel. Back view. It belonged to the Oglala Chief of Pine Ridge (South Dakota), who was one of the protagonists of the Wild West Show of Buffalo Bill. Given as a sign of friendship to the Frenchman Joe Hamman (1883-1974) in 1904, who was passionate admirer of Native American culture in France as well as an illustrator and French Western movie cineast.
