© Warlukurlangu artists of Yuendumu: Dream of the Liana-Serpent 1990. The Aboriginal artist is a Warlpiri speaker. Australia, Central Desert, Northern Territories, Yuendumu community. The painting retells the voyage of a group of women in the Janyinkiyi region. They are in search of the liana-serpents and organize ceremonies. Armed with digging sticks they found Janyinkiyi and other sites. The water spots of Janyinkiyi territory are marked by circles, liana serpents by undulating lines, wild fruits by floral motifs.
