Lieut-Colonel Bryce McMurdo. Ca. 1800-10. McMurdo is shown fishing on the banks of a stream. Wallets for storing fishing tackle can be seen in his upturned hat while between his feet rests a small basket or creel for keeping live fish. Oil paint on canvas, 2400 x 1480 mm. Bequeathed by Gen. Sir Montagu McMurdo 1895 (N01435).
