Tablet inscribed with a Sumerian-Akkadian syllabary. Dictionary of synonyms containing a colophon found in the library of King Assurbanipal in Nineveh.This bilingual vocabulary, developed in the Medio-Babylonian period, belongs to the series sarru ("king"), which takes its name from the first tablet of a work that included at least eight. It lists lists of Sumerian synonyms, and Akkadian synonyms to translate a Sumerian word or vice versa.
