Tomb stele with banquet scene. 8th BCE. Found near a funerary chamber in the vicinity of one of the palaces (Hilani I) on the fort of Sam’al (Zincirli, Turkey). It shows a dining scene in front of a winged sun disc. The deceased woman is likely to have been a member of the royal househould or possibly a queen herself. Basalt relief, 150 x 122 x 16 cm. Inv.
