Cylinder seal with Ishtar, observed by the water god, ascending a mountain and dominating its god. At the beginning of each new year the gods practisent their respective activities: the god of water leaves his domain; the goddess of war and fertlity takes her flight as planet Venus; the sun god leaves the earth as a young runner personifying the new vegetation by a palm tree.
