Antelami, Benedetto (fl.1178-1233)
(and workshop): figure of Raimondinus vilis. A writing identifies him as Raimondinus vilis (the humble Raimondino) on whose identity there are more doubts than certainties. Several hypotheses qualify him as: a poor pilgrim who died in Borgo San Donnino; a man who became a symbol of the poor people and contributed to the church's construction; Saint Raimondino of Piacenza, a holy pilgrim.
Relief from the facade of S. Donnino Cathedral, pinnacle of the right portal.
