Law, detail from the vault with the circular image of Florence as the new Celestial Jerusalem, enclosed within the Arnolfian walls, with the coats of arms of the Municipality, the lily, the eagle of Guelph Party, the cross; surrounded by allegories of Law, Justice, and Fortitude. Frescoes by Jacopo di Cione (brother of Orcagna), based on the iconographic program of the Florentine humanist Coluccio Salutati (1366-1406). The building is also known as Palazzo del Proconsolo.
