Etruscan red figure hydria (water jar). 400- 380 BCE. The unique scene shows a young painter, naked and depicted from behind, engaged in decorating a tomb in the form of a kiosk. The painter appears to be intent on completing the Ionic kymation. From Vulci. The artist is one of the first masters of the red figure technique in Etruria. Painted red figure ceramic, height 36 cm.
