Large Guilloche Pattern with Plaits and Laurel Garlands. Complete view of a Roman mosaic used as a pavement in a reception hall. 10'1" x 9'2" (307 x 280 cm). Excavated in 1960. The circles or eyelets formed by the plaited garlands contain flower patterns; those formed by laurel garlands contain xenia, birds, and fish.
