The Arcadiane road against the ancient theater of Ephesus. This Hellenistic theater dates from the 3rd century BCE. It was enlarged in the 1st-2nd century CE when the stage buildings were added. It could sit 24000 spectators. The Arcadiane that connected the city with its harbor was built by Emperor Arcadius at the end of the 4th century CE.
