Bronze figure of a winged bull. Urartian, from Toprakkale (ancient Rusahinili), eastern Turkey late 8th BCE. Probably part of a piece of furniture (the dowel at the bottom is for attachment). The missing face was probably made of ivory, and the sockets in the wings once contained inlay, while the bronze itself was covered in gold leaf. L. 13.01 cm; w. 10.16 cm. Inv. AN 91248.
