Gold Coin of Hadrian, Roman Imperial, AD 132-134. Despite being from near the end of his reign, the obverse of this coin shows the emperor as a bare headed youth. Similarly, the reverse scene, in which Hadrian stands between three standards in military dress holding a spear, seems to depict the military induction of a young nobleman.  reg. no: CM R.8154.
