Tub sarcophagus of the Seasons. Winter is depicted with two ducks; Spring with a branch and a garland; the deceased in front of a veil (parapetasma); Autumn with the pedum (shepherd's staff): Summer with a basked and a hare. On the sides lions devour antilopes. Marble high relief, Imperial Roman, ca. 270 CE. The lid above it belongs to another sarcophagus. It portrays the deceased Flavian lady in a pose inspired by the sleeping Venus. Flavian, late 1st century CE.
