Main Gate, Toko-ji Temple, Hagi. This temple, founded in 1691, belongs to the Obaku school of Japanese Zen Buddhism. The roof of the gate is of the Kirizumazuri type, with a higher central section. The top carries a Makara, a roof decoration characteristic of the main gate of Obaku temples.
