Kondo and East Pagoda of the Yakushi-ji, Nara. The East Pagoda is the only surviving structure from the original 8th century buildings. The Kondo was rebuilt in the 1970s. This temple serves as the headquarters of the Hosso school of Japanese Buddhism.
