Kodo (lecture hall), Toshodai-ji, Nara. The Toshodai-ji temple belongs to the Ritsu sect of Nara Buddhism. It was founded in 759 by a Chinese priest named Ganjin. The Kodo building used to belong to the Nara Imperial Palace and is now the only remaining building of that complex.
