Fontana Pretoria, Palermo. This Baroque fountain was created in 1554-55 by Francesco Camillani for the Florentine villa of Don Pietro di Toledo. It was sold in 1573 to the city of Palermo and installed in the present location in 1574-75 by Camillo Camillani, son of Francesco. The iron grille was created by Giovanni Battista Basile in 1858.
