Great Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, Egypt (Re-Harakhte Temple). Rock-cut facade with 4 colossal statues of Ramses II (20 meters high). Built ca. 1304-1237 BCE, under the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. 19th Dynasty, Egyptian New Kingdom. With the construction of the Aswan Dam, in 1964-1968 the whole complex of Abu Simbel's temples was moved to higher grounds at the current location by Unesco.
