Sickert, Walter Richard (1860-1942)
The New Bedford. Ca. 1914-15. This theatre in Camden Town, near Sickert’s home in Mornington Crescent, was destroyed by fire in 1896 and subsequently rebuilt as the ‘New Bedford’. Oil paint on canvas, 914 x 356 mm. Bequeathed by Sir Edward Marsh through the Contemporary Art Society 1953 (N06174).
