Cabaret Castle (Chateau de Cabaret). The Cathar castle formed a center of resistance to Simon de Monfort's rule during the Albigensian Crusade. The castle was probably built in the 11th century. It is well preserved, with a five-sided keep with slits for arches, attached to rectangular buildings used for living quarters and surrounded by a curtain wall.
