The Federal Hall at night during the New York blackout caused by hurricane Sandy in November 2012. This Greek Revival building was built in 1833-42 on the design of Ithiel Town and Alexander Jackson Davis. It replaced the building where George Washington took the oath of office to become the first American President in 1789.
