Vestibule of the Warriors with mosaic depicting the enthroned Virgin Mary and child being presented the city of Constantinople by Constantine the Great and the church of Hagia Sofia by Justinian. Byzantine, late 10th century. The vestibule owes its name to the fact that the imperial guard waited for him there while he prayed.
