Forum Cryptoportico. A great cryptoporticus was built in front of the main city gate. It was an underground structure of wide walls that was used to support the northern porticus of the Forum. Inside this, one can find square bases of columns that were used to support the upper floor. It was possibly used as Tabularium (archive) of the city to which one could perhaps get in through two symmetrical doors from the main street.
