Hall of Mental Cultivation (Yang Xin Dian). Inner Court, Imperial Palace (Forbidden City), Beijing. This hall was built in 1537 by Ming emperor Jiajing. Eight emperors of the Qing dynasty lived here. Puyi, China's last emperor, lived here after his abdication until he was driven out of the Imperial Palace by General Feng Yuxiang in 1924.
