Model of the Tropea Augusti (Trophy of Augustus or Trophy of the Alpes). Trophy monument erected in 6 BCE by the senate and people of Rome (SPQR) to celebrate the victory of Augustus over the tribes in the Maritime Alps. Parts of the monument still stand in the village of La Turbie on the Cote d'Azur, France. It is also called locally the Trophee des Alpes.
