Cloisters, Gloucester Cathedral. The present church was built between 1089 and 1460, in Norman and Gothic style. The Gothic cloisters were built in 1351-77, and the crossing tower was built in 1450-57. This cathedral was formerly the church of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter.
