Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, London. The construction of this building lasted for over two centuries. It begun in 1665 on the designs of Sir John Denham, with additions by James Gibbs. Work continued under Colen Campbell and several other architects in the 18th century. In 1867-74 Banks & Barry enlarged the building to its actual size. It has been recently remodeled and restored by Norman Foster.
