Nave of York Minster looking towards the West Front. This Gothic cathedral, built between 1100 and 1472, is the largest in northern Europe. The nave is Decorated Gothic and dates from 1250-1350. The West Front window, painted by Master Robert Ketelbarn, dates from 1338. It is known as the Heart of Yorkshire because of the heart shape in its flamboyant tracery.
