Central passageway with bas-relief depicting dragons, Changling, Ming Tombs, Beijing. The Funerary Complex of Emperor Yongle was built in first half of the 15th century as the mausoleum of the emperor and his wife empress Xu Shi. This decorated ramp between the two stairways was reserved for the emperor's palanquin.
