Hall of Preserving Harmony (Bao He Dian). Outer Court, Imperial Palace (Forbidden City), Beijing. This hall was originally built in 1420 by emperor Yongle with the name of Hall of Scrupulous Behavior (Jin Sheng Dian). In 1562 it was named Hall of the People's Sovereign (Jian Ji Dian) and was given its present name in 1645.
