Bas-relief depicting the Grant of Bengal in 1765. This bronze plaque is located on the side of the Monument of Clive of India, Foreign office, London. This was a major event in the British colonial conquest of India. The inscription reads: Clive receiving the Grant of Bengal Behar and Orissa at Allahabad. August 1765.
