Reynes, Henry de (2nd half 13th CE)
Middle and Byward Towers, Tower of London. These two towers that form the main entrance to the fortress were built under Henry III in 1238-72. The Chief Architect and Master Builder was Henry de Reyns with John of Gloucester and Robert of Beverley. The Byward Tower was strengthened in 1381 under Richard II reign after the Peasants Revolt.
