Ravens around the White Tower, Tower of London. This Norman tower was built under William the Conqueror in 1078-97. The Chief Architect and Master Builder was Gundulf, Bishop of Rochester. The birds are kept here because of a legend that if the ravens ever leave the Tower of London, the White Tower, the Monarchy, and the entire Kingdom would fall.
