The Tournament of Henri II. From: "L'Histoire françoise de nostre temps", for which the pharmacist Nicolas Houel wrote the sonnets; illustrations were assigned "sous forme de cartons de peinture de blanc et noir façonnez par les excellentz peinctres de France et d'Italie" during the reign of Charles IX, between 1560 and 1574.
