The façade with Romanesque reliefs (12th CE), divided into three parts: the upper one is surmounted by a tympanum with the statue of Saint Peter. The space that was probably destined to a mosaic is flanked by panels with reliefs of St. Peter, St. Andrew and two bulls. The median part is characterized by three oculi. The central one is framed by a cosmatesque decoration and surrounded by symbols of the Evangelists. In the lower part there are three portals bordered by animals. The side portals are surmounted by reliefs. In the one on the right is a holy bishop, on the left St. Michael fighting the dragon.
