(copy after by an artist in the circle of Lathem, after the Master of Flémalle): Tomyris and Cyrus. Pen and brown ink, 10.8 x 13.8 cm. According to Herodotus, Tomyris, Queen of the Massageti (6th BCE), ambushed the Persian King Cyrus II after the defeat and death of her son Spargapises.
