Design for the print "The Practice of the Visual Arts", a sculptor working on Roma with the river god of the Tiber and the wolf suckling Romulus and Remus at her feet, a painter working on a fresco of a battle at left, a man dissecting a suspended figure and three boys drawing from a skeleton at right, a man modelling a horse at centre and other drawing at a table at left; formerly in the 1637 album containing 279 miscellaneous drawings. 1573. Pen and brown ink with brown wash, heightened with white; indented lines. H: 43.6 cm W: 29.3 cm. Inscribed in reverse along the bottom: "IO STRADENSIS FLANDRUS IN 1573 CORNELIE CORT EXCV". Inv.
