'The Curds and Whey Seller, Cheapside', c1730. A young woman, possibly blind, sells bowls of curds to young chimney sweeps. The scene is the corner of Blowbladder Street, at the foot of the Little Conduit, pulled down in 1727. The spire of one of the City of London churches rises in the background. Oil on canvas.
